“… training is absolutely crucial to understanding the value of every professional’s role”
"One of the best programs I have attended in 28 years of practice. Clear, well thought-out. Your enthusiasm for the subject is obvious."
"The speakers were extremely knowledgeable, informative and charismatic. I was very impressed by their ability to succinctly and comprehensively cover such a large amount of pertinent information while keeping the audience engaged."
"Thank you for one of the best professional training sessions I have ever attended in my 30 year professional career. The insights I received, the tips, the hands on experience at the training will no doubt make me a better collaborative professional. I learned to be more sensitive to the client’s needs and desires, especially the difficult clients and cases. I learned about the rules and procedures which although I had practical experience I did not have the academic background or the reasons behind these important collaborative rules and procedures. I learned that communication between the parties and the professionals throughout this process is the key element to a successful collaborative case result. I learned new presentation skills for difficult financial analysis. Every collaborative professional must go through one of these trainings."
"I have been to other collaborative trainings and I found yours to be the best one I have attended. Your group was able to move beyond where most groups get stuck - the Paradigm Shift, and get into the meat and potatoes of exactly how it is done....the mechanics, which is where we newbies flounder. Thank you for putting the extra effort into building your training workshop."
"Lana's (Lana M. Stern, Ph.D.) presentation is the key which unlocks the doors to effectively coordinating the role of the MHP with the other professionals in the Collaborative process."
“It is obvious right from the start that these collaborative professionals really understand the theory and practice of how a team of attorneys, an mhp, and a financial consultant can help divorcing spouses to get their best collaborative divorce. Their What Not To Do and What To Do skits have really typical examples of what actual clients say and do. They seem to have so much fun working together. Their scripts are laugh-out-loud funny. I wonder how they can keep a straight face as they say the lines that their characters say and take the outlandish positions that they take. They display really artistic forms of empathy. They calm the clients down and return them to addressing appropriate concerns with rationality. I have been attending continuing education seminars since 1989, and this is the most informative and the most entertaining seminar that I have ever attended. Thank you for making serious learning so much fun.”
I have been an attorney for nearly 30 years and have attended numerous continuing education programs. The Introductory Interdisciplinary Collaborative Law Training by the Florida Collaborative Trainers was one of the best organized and presented training sessions that I have attended. The program provides an excellent overview of the Collaborative Process through lecture, but also through role playing. The role playing allows the attendees to see how the concepts taught are applied in real life situations. The Florida Collaborative Trainers provided great information and lots of humor also. I would highly recommend that you attend their training sessions. You will not be disappointed.
I was on the committee that brought Florida Collaborative Trainers to Jacksonville. I was so proud of my choice because the training was top notch. I have attended several trainings, both introductory and advanced, in Florida and other states, and this was the best yet. You could tell that everyone on the team has done many collaborative cases. It was not merely theoretical. That makes a huge difference. They shared what they learned with us and were not afraid to say when something did not work. They demonstrated the collaborative principles of problem solving and modelled it throughout the training. They are passionate and committed to the collaborative process and it shines through. Additionally, they were very generous with their time after the seminar and were available for questions once we started new cases . Whenever I recommend a training to someone, which I do often, I always try to steer them to Florida Collaborative Trainers. They are the best and I know attendees will come away well-trained and ready to implement this new divorce process. Those are the people I want to work with on a collaborative case.
"You obviously are on the right track. Working together with MHP's and attorneys makes a lot of sense. Too often the professionals are trained separately without the felt connection. "
"The most educational and entertaining CLE that I have attended. I learned a lot and enjoyed the time spent doing so. The CLE was presented in a format that other CLE's could learn from."
I have been working in the Collaborative Divorce realm for over five years as a Mental Health Professional and I cannot say enough about the training offered by the Florida Collaborative Trainers! I took the Introductory Training several years ago and continue to participate in Advanced Trainings annually. This year I decided to re-take the Introductory Training to freshen up my skill set and gain new perspectives. I am so glad I made that choice because the Florida Collaborative Trainers were outstanding! They brought a team of four who worked diligently prior to the training to connect with our professionals in Michigan to learn about our Collaborative culture and family laws specific to Michigan. The training they devised was so incredibly comprehensive on every level. They used their team and a few of our local professionals to demonstrate an entire case from start to finish, and in between vignettes they provided specifics on each professional's role within the Collaborative team and the nuts and bolts of the Collaborative Process. Not only was it an instructive training, it was also engaging and entertaining, which is something quite necessary for a two-day training for people to really learn and not lose focus. Attendees were also brought in to try out some of their own problem-solving skills they learned as they walked through an interest-based negotiation in teams. Everyone who attended gave great feedback and the best part is that the trainers provided an unbelievable manual that has everything professionals need to start their journey into Collaborative or hone their resources and skills.
